Soulforged is a former high-end raiding guild on the EQ2 server of Antonia Bayle. After a succesfull run over ROK and TSO content, the last one which has seen us achieve a number of server-firsts, we are now taking a break from hardcore raiding, due mostly to a lot of hardcore raiders being burned out by this expansion. In the meantime we remain active as a more casual guild, and are also likely to be organising occasional pickup raids (the legendary "Poofy-Pickups")

As more and more people kept feeling the burnout settle in, it was becoming increasingly difficult to replace everyone with skilled players. After a few weeks of very positive progress we have been once again going down the slope in terms of efficiency, as more people kept leaving or quitting.
We've decided to call it a day for the time being. The guild will still remain active as a more casual guild for as long there will be people interested in sticking around (or even in joining us). People are welcomed to leave their alts here even if they leave. We're hoping that the next expansion will bring more fun than the steaming pile of crap TSO has been raid-wise, compounded with the facts that the recently added raid zones have been horrible (except for WoE), and we are being told that we have to wait until February 2010 for the new expansion. When that next expansion hits, we will definitely be reconsidering our options.
Thank you to everyone, both past and current members. We've accomplished a lot in a short period of time. Hopefully EQ2's future will get better. In the mean time, we're keeping the lights on in the guild hall.
The rumors of Soulforged's death have been greatly exaggerated, to the greater chagrin of those who have been predicting our failure for the past 2.5 years (and who had been in hiding over the past year, quite strangely). I want to thank you for giving us additional drive to push through this expansion's content at a much faster rate than we had originally expected.
Despite losing a couple of long-time members and officers, life still goes on. We have filled most of the spots left open by the departures (keep an eye on our Recruitment block on this page). Management is now handled by Ailerynn, Lantis, Natalyae and Porphyry. We are currently going with a reduced raiding schedule until the next expansion to avoid further burnouts, and also because we feel we don't have anything to prove anymore, having cleared the TSO instanced content (minus one named, and that new X4 zone that nobody wants to even talk about). We will be mostly enjoying the game, while preparing for the next expansion, which hopefully will bring more entertaining challenges than TSO brought for raiders.
Avatar of Valor is down to Soulforged on May 9th, 2009. Again an avatar that we found up and decided to try after a night in Tombs and Zarrakon. Again on our first night working at it we got it down. Way to go guys! Almost halfway done with Avatar kills now!
